Faithlink, by Cokesbury

Recently St. Paul subscribed to Faithlink, a resource from Cokesbury for small group leaders. Its webpage describes it as:

"a study for use by individuals or groups of mature youth and adults who want to apply their United Methodist beliefs to current faith issues and world events. This essential guide not only motivates Christians to consider their personal views on important contemporary issues, it also encourages them to act on their beliefs. This weekly downloadable resource offers

  • application of faith to major current events in the news
  • photocopiable background information for in-class use
  • quick response to developing issues
  • convenient on-line delivery

The weekly lesson examines current news items from the perspective of biblical faith and United Methodist teaching. Each issue contains four photocopiable pages of background information and core Bible passages on the topic and two pages of suggested group activities and discussion questions."

We started this program on September 12. Please click the Cokesbury logo to the right to learn more. If you would like to obtain a copy of these materials, please contact Carol Gunter.
